We work closely with our customers on the layout of their space, so that unique features of the stone may be highlighted. Distinctive veining can be positioned in the center of an island, or behind a range, for example. Our experienced team takes pride in helping create truly customized spaces for our customers.
When customers visit Preferred Surfaces, they are able to view hundreds of full slabs of natural stone, alongside our fabrication facility. We are a one-stop shop for material selection, fabrication, and installation. Our sales team and fabrication team work very closely together, focused on the details of each project.
Many details must be decided before countertops are fabricated – What cut-outs will exist within the countertop area – range tops, sinks, soap dispensers, outlets, range vents, faucets, etc. What type of edge finish would you like? How much overhang would you like on your countertop? Do you have a preference as to how the veining of a natural stone slab will be located within your space? Our sales team works as a liaison between our customers and our fabrication team, to ensure that the final countertop product is designed and cut to fit the specifications of each project.
We offer a large selection – hundreds of full slabs – of natural stone and solid surface materials. Granite, marble, quartz, soapstone, quartzite, and Corian, in a wide variety of colors and patterns. A benefit of working with Preferred Surfaces is that you have the opportunity to select the exact slab of material that will be used in your space, rather than selecting from a small sample. Every of natural stone is truly unique, and small samples may not accurately reflect the colors and patterns of large slabs. At Preferred Surfaces, you can have confidence in your choice because you are able to view your exact slab.
When you visit our showroom, we will discuss our various product options with you, to help you make an informed decision about which products best meet your design aesthetic and functional needs. After you select your stone slabs, we will reserve the materials for you and schedule your project for fabrication. We are happy to work with you on the layout, to decide how certain patterns or veining may be positioned in your space. We will also walk you through the steps of selecting a sink, edge finish, backsplash, overhang, and other details.
Our fabrication shop includes machinery that allows us to polish or leather stone slabs and create a truly customized finish for your new surface.
